Best color shirt to wear on a first date?

Just trying to get some discussion going in here and this is a topic I've thought about countless times.

It depends on the venue, Fully.

Sometimes a white button down shirt is the best, sometimes a hawiian shirt is best.

Let's say dinner at Red Lobster, which it will probably be since we're talking about first dates.

For me personally, it would be a blue shirt to bring out the color of my eyes - that way I could mesmerize her into a 2nd date.

shit colored shoes does the trick.

I need to be more systematic about what works for me.

Off the top of my head:

White (3x), light blue, grey: no 2nd date
White (2x), green: 2nd date

I am controlling for Red Lobster in that study.

If it's worked before, I'd say try it again to get confirmation.

green has never failed IIRC, although the sample set is terribly small

Then it's time to expand that sample set. You can't analyze your data to prove or dis-prove your hypothesis without a large enough sample set of experiments. IMO.
