A sign of how bad America's obesity problem has gotten
The tallest man in the United States is fat.
Let me say that again...the man who it would take the most effort to make fat in the entire country is fat.

Wow man, how can you turn a heartwarming story about a company doing an awesome thing for someone into a negative.

It would take the most effort to make an underweight anorexic fat.

OK. That point was already made.
But one point that hasn't been made already, at least in this thread: You fucking suck!

Name calling is a sure-fire way to make people ignore your arguments. So I'm only responding to PJ with this.
While the calories needed to take an underweight individual to an obese state might be greater than those required for a taller person with an average build you are making the assumption that the obesity-creation process begins at the current point in time. Over the lifetime of the individual, some of which has already passed, the calories needed to make an 8 foot person obese are greater than what is needed to make a 6 foot person obese. Whether that person actually achieves that or not is the result of many factors and, quite obviously, an illness or eating disorder would be an extreme example.

He couldn't exercise because he didn't have shoes.
